The Washington State Conservation Commission's Science Hub is seeking input from vendors on effective work products for monitoring and quantifying the benefits of best management practices on agricultural lands. The project aims to develop watershed models that integrate field monitoring, remote sensing, and empirical data to generate quantitative assessments of the effects of agricultural best management practices on ecosystem functions. The vendor will work with the Science Hub and its partners to develop a prototype watershed model, estimate field-based measurements, and provide a summary report on the current state of science in watershed-scale methods and tools. Key aspects of the project include:
• Watershed-scale monitoring and modeling
• Agricultural best management practices
• Ecosystem functions and values of Critical Areas
• Integrative science-based watershed projects
• Collaboration with multiple interdisciplinary teams
The vendor should have experience in watershed- and field-scale environmental monitoring and modeling, agricultural best management practices, and developing and applying watershed models such as SWAT / SWAT+, WEPP or similar models.
