The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is seeking qualified contractors to rehabilitate a series of employee‑housing units at the Iron Mountain Pumping Plant. The work is a time‑and‑materials residential renovation that includes plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, stucco, painting, flooring, doors, windows, and hazardous‑material (asbestos and lead) abatement. The contract is limited to a not‑to‑exceed $250,000 ceiling and requires prevailing‑wage compliance, a 10 % bid bond, and 100 % performance and payment bonds. Bidders must hold a California A‑ or B‑class contractor license, EPA renovation certification, and appropriate asbestos certifications, and must demonstrate a 25 % small‑business/DVBE participation effort.
