RFP 902744 FORENSIC TOXICOLOGY TESTING SERVICES – CORONERS OFFICE

The County of Alameda is seeking a contractor to provide forensic toxicology testing services to the Coroner’s Bureau. The contractor will be responsible for performing toxicology testing on bodily fluids and tissues, providing reports and test results, and maintaining a chain of custody for all samples. The contractor must have experience in providing forensic toxicology testing services and must be accredited by a major accreditation body. The contract will be for a period of three years with an option to renew for an additional two years. Some key requirements for the contractor include: * Performing all service requirements * Having a laboratory that is in compliance with state regulations for blood and urine alcohol analysis * Participating in external proficiency testing programs * Providing written reports in support of accreditation for the Coroner’s Bureau * Having a dedicated IT staff to protect all systems from malware and spam attacks * Notifying the County within 72 hours of any unintended access or attack on the system.
