Construction, Engineering, and Inspection Services For The Canopy Project

The City of Orlando is seeking a consultant to provide construction, engineering, and inspection services for the Canopy Project, a transformative urban park project in Downtown Orlando. The project aims to create a walkable and engaging environment with green spaces, communal areas, and artistic displays. The consultant will be responsible for administering, monitoring, and inspecting the construction contract to ensure the project is constructed in reasonable conformity with the plans, specifications, and special provisions. The scope of work includes construction engineering and inspection services, materials sampling and testing, and contract administration. The project is expected to last 20 months, with an initial term of 18 months and a close-out period of 2 months. • The consultant will be required to provide personnel meeting the requirements set forth in the section labeled "Personnel General Requirements" and "Personnel Requirements". • The consultant will be responsible for exercising independent professional judgment in performing its obligations and responsibilities under the agreement. • The consultant will be required to comply with City and FDOT manuals, procedures, and memorandums in effect as of the date of execution of the agreement. • The consultant will be responsible for assembling a team that is FDOT Certified in the following work groups: Construction Engineering Inspection, Construction Materials Inspection, and Minor Bridge & Miscellaneous Structures CEI. • The consultant will be required to provide office automation, sampling supplies, report forms, office space, vehicles, and field equipment necessary to perform the services authorized under the agreement.
