Civil Engineering Services: Surveying

The Leon County, Florida, is seeking qualified firms to provide surveying services on an as-needed basis. The selected firms will enter into agreements with the county for a period of three years, with two optional one-year renewal periods. The surveying services may include development of legal descriptions and sketches, boundary surveys, construction stakeout, and expert witness services. The firms must be licensed to practice in the State of Florida and comply with the Consultant's Competitive Negotiation Act. The county reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals and to withdraw this solicitation at any time prior to final award of agreement. The key aspects of the job include: • Providing surveying services as needed • Entering into agreements with the county for a period of three years with optional renewal periods • Complying with the Consultant's Competitive Negotiation Act • Being licensed to practice in the State of Florida • Providing services such as boundary surveys, construction stakeout, and expert witness services • Developing legal descriptions and sketches • Cooperating with the county's evaluation processes • Meeting the requirements of the county's terms and conditions • Providing insurance certifications and complying with the county's insurance requirements • Complying with the county's ethical business practices and avoiding unethical practices such as gratuities and kickbacks
