COLLEGE SKATE PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

The City of Lompoc is soliciting bids for the College Skate Park Improvement Project, which involves the demolition of an existing skate park and construction of a new concrete skate park, playground equipment, two half basketball courts, gaming area, restroom, fencing, outdoor lighting, and landscaping. The project is located on approximately 4.57 acres at 207 West College Avenue. The City will award the contract based on the lowest responsive responsible bidder. The contractor will be responsible for providing construction services, including demolition, removal, and installation of new items, and will be required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including prevailing wage laws and apprenticeship standards. Some key features of the project include: • Demolition of the existing skate park • Construction of a new concrete skate park • Installation of playground equipment • Construction of two half basketball courts • Creation of a gaming area • Installation of a prefabricated restroom building • Installation of 36” steel fencing • Provision of outdoor lighting and landscaping The contractor will be required to provide a list of employees, including subcontractor employees, and will be responsible for job site safety and conditions during the course of construction. The contractor will also be required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including prevailing wage laws and apprenticeship standards.
