Notice of Intent to sole source: Smiths Detection X-ray screening system

The Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA) intends to award a Purchase Order to Point Security, Inc. for the provision of a Smiths Detection SDX6040 X-Ray screening system and other related equipment. The equipment will be used in a USAO facility located in Charleston, SC. The vendor will be responsible for delivering, installing, and calibrating the equipment, as well as providing training to JPSO Security Officers. The anticipated delivery date is on or before June 2026. • The equipment includes a Smiths Detection SDX6040 X-Ray screening system, a CEIA HIPE/PZ-PLUS-0989 Walk Through Metal Detector, and a CEIA PD240 Handheld Metal Detector. • The HI-SCAN6040C shall have standard features such as Hi-SPOT – Auto Dense Area Detection, HiTraX- Image Enhancement Functions, and a 24” Flat Panel Monitor. • The HI-SCAN6040i shall also include options such as Software Package – HI-TIP-Plus, OTS Xtrain, IMS, Opti-ZOOM, HDA, X-Plore, SEN. • The vendor shall conduct standard calibration and certification of the unit and provide a copy of the paperwork to the EOUSA POC. • The vendor shall provide training on the proper operation and usage to JPSO Security Officers assigned at the time of delivery and additional EOUSA representatives as may be available.
