RFO 5-3371 Business Intelligence Developer

The California State Teachers' Retirement System (CalSTRS) is seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to work within the BI&DW Project team of Technology Service Branch. The selected candidate will have detailed knowledge and experience of functional and technical design and development in Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse (BI&DW) tools, and Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence (ML/AI) frameworks, standards, processes, and architectures. The BI Developer will be responsible for designing and developing data analytics and Business Intelligence dashboards with Microsoft Power BI, creating SQL queries, and developing data solutions with Snowflake or Amazon Web Services (AWS) Redshift data warehouses. • The contract term may be up to 24 months with an option to extend for an additional 24 months. • The BI Developer will work on-site at CalSTRS headquarters in West Sacramento, CA, with possible remote work options. • The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience with Generative AI or Machine Learning, 5 years of experience with Microsoft Power BI, and 5 years of experience with SQL queries. • The candidate should also have experience with Agile methodologies, software development life cycle, and data analysis expressions (DAX). • CalSTRS promotes open, fair, and equal competition among prospective respondents in a manner conducive to sound State fiscal practices.
