The VA is seeking a qualified Service‑Disabled Veteran‑Owned Small Business to supply and install a single walk‑in cooler/freezer unit at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, IL. The contractor will remove three existing walk‑in units, recover refrigerant in compliance with EPA rules, deliver the new unit, perform complete installation (including electrical, controls, and sealing), commission the system, and provide documentation and a four‑year extended compressor warranty. The award will be made to the lowest‑priced technically acceptable offer, with a 60‑day price validity period.
• Provide one walk‑in cooler/freezer (Model CC363130) and associated components.
• Remove, dispose, and refrigerant‑recover three existing units.
• Install, test, and commission the new refrigeration system (freezer and two coolers) to meet VA food‑service temperature standards.
• Supply operation/maintenance manuals, warranty registration, and monthly status reports.
