The Department of Veterans Affairs, Martinsburg VA Medical Center, intends to award a sole source contract to Acustaf Development Corporation for the Acustaf 3001 Labor Management Software. The software is a proprietary and highly specialized system that utilizes an HL7 interface with Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) to bring in real-time Admit, Discharge, and Transfer information. The system provides automated data extraction tools that are necessary to effectively assign staffing resources, monitor standards of care, and pull from systems that already have the data entered in them to avoid duplicate effort and to feed the other downstream data systems.
