RFP 26-005 Elevator Maintenance Services

The Shawnee Mission School District is seeking proposals for elevator maintenance services. The selected contractor will provide comprehensive maintenance services, including preventative maintenance, routine servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of elevator equipment. The contractor will also be responsible for coordinating with state and local elevator inspectors, providing emergency response services, and maintaining service records and inspection documentation. The contract term will be for 12 months, with four annual options to renew, and the selected contractor will be required to provide services to all District elevators, regardless of manufacturer. * Key services to be provided: * Preventative maintenance and routine servicing of all District elevator equipment * Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and control systems for District elevators * Scheduled inspections and testing as necessary * Coordination with state and local elevator inspectors as needed * Emergency response services for after-hour repairs, as deemed necessary by the District * Ability to service lifts is preferred, but not a required service * Key qualifications and experience required: * Proper elevator contractor licensing in the State of Kansas * Minimum five years of experience providing elevator maintenance services * Experience servicing elevators in K-12 environments or similar public facilities * Technician training and certification programs * Local service presence and technician availability * Capability to provide service to all District elevators * An online platform for service request submission, tracking, and documentation is preferred
