RFP 159774 -- Systems Integration for the Over Height Vehicle Detection System Plus (OHVDS+)

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is seeking a Systems Integrator to provide design, documentation, installation, integration, testing, start-up, and training of an Over Height Vehicle Detection System Plus (OHVDS+) for the City of Norfolk and the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel (HRBT) Control Room. The contract also includes the subsequent first year Maintenance and Operations of the OHVDS+, with the option to renew for up to two additional consecutive years. The selected Systems Integrator will be responsible for ensuring that all components function as a cohesive system and meet the performance requirements outlined in the Contract. Key aspects of the job include: • Design, documentation, installation, integration, testing, start-up, and training of the OHVDS+ • Maintenance and Operations of the OHVDS+ for the initial year, with the option to renew for up to two additional consecutive years • Ensuring that all components function as a cohesive system and meet the performance requirements outlined in the Contract • Providing innovative ideas and/or solutions to result in cost and operational efficiencies or improvements while enhancing the services that governments provide its citizens.
