Description
The Laredo College District is seeking a qualified, licensed contractor to provide comprehensive elevator maintenance, inspection, testing, repair, parts replacement, and 24/7 emergency response services for all elevators owned and operated across its campuses. The contract will be for an initial three‑year term with two optional one‑year extensions, and the award will be based on best value, including price, experience, qualifications, and compliance with safety and accessibility regulations.
• Scope includes preventive maintenance, annual & category testing, emergency response (1‑hour response for entrapments/life‑safety, 2‑hour for out‑of‑service), repairs, parts, and documentation.
• Must comply with Texas Health & Safety Code, ASME A17.1, ADA, OSHA, NFPA, and local codes.
• Contractor must maintain required licenses, insurance (minimum $1 M general liability, $1 M workers’ comp, $1 M automobile), and provide a single point of contact.
• Proposal deadline: 3:00 p.m. CT, 22 Oct 2026; proposals opened publicly at 3:15 p.m. the same day.
• Evaluation criteria: price, experience, quality, safety record, staffing, financial capability, and Texas‑based business status.
