Request for Qualifications Engineering Services-Gas Infrastructure Improvements

The City of Waynesboro, Georgia, is seeking qualifications from an engineering firm or individual to provide services for its Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Natural Gas Distribution Infrastructure Safety and Modernization Grant. The selected engineering firm will be responsible for assessing current gas infrastructure, developing repair plans, providing construction oversight, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards. The key services required include preparation of final design, plans, and specifications, securing necessary permits, bid and contract documents, construction services, and close-out. The evaluation criteria include project approach, timing, experience with gas infrastructure, quality of work, and capacity of performance. • The project aims to enhance the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the gas distribution system. • The selected firm will be responsible for construction oversight and ensuring compliance with regulations. • The City reserves the right to request additional information and interview consultants. • The City reserves the right to waive informalities and minor irregularities in submittals. • The award of the engineering contract is contingent upon the project being funded by DOT.
