PAXGENE Ribonucleic acid extraction, quality control and aliquoting services​

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking a contractor to provide PAXGENE ribonucleic acid extraction, quality control, and aliquoting services for samples collected from 50 clinical participants. The contractor will be responsible for extracting ribonucleic acid from PAXGENE tubes, performing quantitation and normalization, and conducting quality control testing using Agilent instrumentation. The contractor will also be required to aliquot up to 21 aliquots per sample, provide secure frozen storage conditions, and maintain complete documentation and traceability records. The services are necessary to support research involving gene expression profiling, molecular characterization of biospecimens, identification of disease mechanisms, and evaluation of potential therapeutic targets through transcriptomic analysis. Some key requirements of the contract include: • Providing PAXGENE ribonucleic acid extraction and aliquoting services for 122 PAXGENE tube units • Performing high-quality ribonucleic acid extraction using validated protocols and established laboratory procedures • Conducting ribonucleic acid quantitation and normalization to ensure consistent sample concentrations • Performing deoxyribonuclease (DNase) treatment to remove genomic deoxyribonucleic acid contaminants • Conducting ribonucleic acid integrity and quality assessments using Agilent instrumentation • Providing secure frozen storage conditions and maintaining complete documentation and traceability records
