Executive Evaluation Services

The City of Corvallis is seeking proposals for executive evaluation services to assist the City Council in facilitating its annual City Manager performance review. The purpose of the annual evaluation is to strengthen communication and alignment between the governing body and the City Manager, provide feedback that supports the City Manager's success, identifies areas for development, and recognizes achievements. The selected consultant will facilitate the annual evaluation process, which includes reviewing the existing process, determining a process for conducting the evaluation, obtaining input from various stakeholders, and providing a public summary report. The consultant will also provide related services as requested by the City. • The City of Corvallis has a Council-City Manager form of government, with a nine-member City Council and a Mayor. • The City Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the City. • The City has ten departments, including the City Manager's Office, Human Resources, Finance, and Public Works. • The City is seeking a consultant with experience in providing executive evaluation services, particularly in the public sector. • The consultant will be expected to work closely with the City Council, City Manager, and other stakeholders to facilitate the evaluation process. • The consultant will be required to provide a comprehensive report on the evaluation process, including recommendations for ongoing evaluation practices and tools and templates for future evaluations.
