Mobile Soil Steam Generator

The USDA, ARS, in Wooster, OH, is seeking a mobile soil steam generator for sterilizing soils, agricultural substrates, and tools. The generator should have a 20 HP, 3-Pass Dry Back Scotch Marine Boiler; ASME Section IV constructed; 791,000 BTU/HR input, and a minimum 690 lbs/hr steam output; 15 PSI max operating pressure. The trailer should be a single axle highway trailer with a 5200lb leaf spring axle, 15" heavy-duty pneumatic tires, and electric brakes with a breakaway kit. The hitch should be a 2 5/16" ball coupler with adjustable height and safety chains. The accessories should include two 2-inch trailer-mounted steam-rated gate valves and a scale inhibitor system. The contractor should provide one physical copy of the Operator’s Manual, Maintenance Parts List, and ASME Manufacturer's Data Report.
