Description
The Allegany College of Maryland is seeking a design/build team to convert the approximately 6,180 square foot indoor, in-ground pool and surrounding space in the Physical Education Building into a new fitness center. The project includes engineering, design, and construction to transform the current pool area into a spacious new fitness center. The selected design/build team will work with stakeholders at the College to determine a clear direction for the project. The project consists of several components, including development of project specifications, filling of the pool with crushed stone, removal of aged HVAC equipment and controls, and replacement/installation of a new system. The contractor will be responsible for all construction debris removal and lawful disposal generated by the work.
• The project requires a design/build team with experience in similar projects.
• The contractor will be responsible for obtaining permits and coordinating all associated inspections.
• The project includes a base bid and two alternate bids for additional work.
• The contractor will be required to provide a performance bond and payment bond.
• The project is expected to be completed in several months.
