Description
The Port Authority of Allegheny County (Pittsburgh Regional Transit) is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive property‑and‑casualty risk management services for its transit system. The contractor will design, market, place, and administer insurance coverages, act as claim and property‑engineering advocate, advise on insurance requirements for projects and vendors, and manage the existing portfolio of roughly 40 policies. Work will be performed on a work‑order basis over a three‑year base period with an optional two‑year extension, and the contractor must handle premium payments directly with carriers and be reimbursed by the Authority. The award will be made after an information meeting, written questions deadline, and possible interviews, with service commencement expected early 2027.
• Design, negotiate, and place operational insurance coverages (workers’ comp, property, liability, cyber, etc.).
• Provide claim advocacy, engineering support, and advisory services for PRT and its subcontractors.
• Manage the full insurance portfolio, including renewals, reporting, and compliance with DB (Diverse Business) participation requirements.
