Description
The United States Senate, Office of the Sergeant at Arms (SAA) is seeking an Industrial Web-fed Press System. The system should be able to produce high-resolution output with vibrant color quality, and it should be able to meet the Senate's output quality requirements at the proposed resolution and speed. The system should also include a finishing line that can handle a diverse range of projects, including folded and flat-stock applications. The Senate is looking for a comprehensive solution that supports the efficient use of both folded sheets and cut sheets. Some key features of the system include:
• Dynamic perforating/scoring
• Automatic stacker with no manual intervention
• Nearline finishing with a rewinder and an unwinder
• Technical telephone support and troubleshooting services available from 8:00 AM to 9:30 PM
• On-site service with a guaranteed response time of four business hours during standard business hours
The Senate produces approximately 200,000 postcards and 150,000 two-sided, uncoated 8.5-by-11-inch sheets per month, and the system should be able to handle this volume.
