Petroleum Storage Tank Repair Service

Sarasota County is seeking a contractor to provide repair services for County-owned storage tank systems containing petroleum products. The contractor will be required to perform repair services during normal business hours, after normal business hours, or as an emergency. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, boot replacement, sensor replacement, reconfiguring and troubleshooting of monitoring systems, sump replacement, and valve replacement. The contractor must comply with all applicable manufacturer requirements, specifications, and guidelines, as well as federal, state, and local regulations. • The contractor must provide all personnel and equipment necessary to perform the services. • The contractor must have at least one employee on site who can effectively communicate in English with County staff and the general public. • The contractor must provide a qualified employee who can make on-site decisions and act as a fully authorized agent of the contractor. • The contractor must comply with all OSHA fall protection requirements and take precautions against leaks, spills, and other fuel discharges. • The contractor must participate in performance and project report meetings as deemed necessary by the County.
