TRAILING BLOODHOUND CANINE & HANDLER INVESTIGATIVE SERVICES

The County of Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department is seeking qualified vendors to provide Trailing Bloodhound Canine and Handler Investigative Services on an as-needed basis. The selected vendors will enter into Master Agreements with the County to provide these services, which include conducting searches for persons with specific scent signatures obtained by a scent source. The vendors must provide a handler and scent-trailing/tracking canines to investigative locations throughout Los Angeles County. Key requirements include: • The vendor must have at least one handler and one scent-trailing/tracking bloodhound canine. • The canine(s) must be certified in scent-specific man-trailing/tracking and up-to-date on all vaccinations. • The handler(s) must be certified in scent-specific man-trailing and basic first aid/CPR. • The vendor must be available to provide services 24/7/365. • The vendor must have a vehicle for transportation to respond to and provide services throughout the County.
