S201-- Janitorial Services at New Jersey VAHCS, East Orange and Lyons.

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking sources for janitorial services at the New Jersey VAHCS, East Orange and Lyons campuses. The contractor will be required to provide managerial, administrative, and direct labor personnel to perform janitorial services, including cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing patient rooms, restrooms, and other areas. The contract will be for a period of 12 months, with one 12-month option year. The contractor will be required to provide a standard custodial-type uniform and ensure that all work meets performance standards specified in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Some key tasks and frequencies include: * Daily cleaning of patient rooms, restrooms, and other areas * Weekly cleaning of floors, including stripping, waxing, and buffing * Bi-weekly cleaning of carpets and upholstery * Monthly deep cleaning of restrooms and other areas * Terminal cleaning of patient rooms and other areas as requested The contractor will be required to comply with all applicable regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and Joint Commission standards.
