Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a qualified general contractor to renovate approximately 1,100 SF of space in Buildings 5 and 5B at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita, KS, converting it into a same‑day access mental‑health clinic. The work includes selective demolition, interior finish installation, HVAC rebalancing, new electrical and data systems, LED lighting, fire‑sprinkler upgrades, plumbing modifications, asbestos abatement, and extensive coordination to keep the surrounding medical facility fully operational. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment, adhere to strict infection‑control, noise, and safety standards, and complete the project within 210 calendar days.
• Scope: demolition, interior finishes, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, lighting, security, and hazardous‑material abatement.
