Description

The State of Alabama is seeking a vendor to deliver approximately 110 tons of agricultural lime to two Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) in north‑central Alabama. The lime will be dumped (not spread) at four pre‑designated sites—two sites per WMA—with each site receiving 27.5 tons. Deliveries must occur Monday‑through‑Thursday between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm, and a 48‑hour prior notice to the agency is required. The overall delivery must be completed by March 31, 2026. Vendors need dump‑truck capability and must comply with the Quick‑Quote terms outlined by the Alabama Office of the Chief Procurement Officer. • Total quantity: ~110 tons (four 27.5‑ton dump deliveries). • Precise GPS coordinates provided for each dump location at Little River WMA and Choccolocco WMA. • Delivery window limited to Mon‑Thu, 7 am‑4 pm; weekends and Fridays excluded. • 48‑hour prior notice required; no spreading equipment needed, only dump trucks. • Delivery deadline: March 31, 2026; bid submission deadline: March 3, 2026.

Budget estimate

$25,000 – $40,000

Based on typical market rates, agricultural lime costs roughly $30‑$40 per ton, yielding a material value of $3,300‑$4,400 for 110 tons. Specialized dump‑truck transport of bulk loads averages $150‑$250 per ton, adding $16,500‑$27,500. Including administrative and compliance costs, the total contract value is likely in the $25,000‑$40,000 range. Smaller vendors with existing equipment could be on the low end, while those needing to lease trucks may be at the high end.
