NOTICE OF INTENT - Sole Source Intellikey Key Lock Hardware for the Chilled Water Plant Replacement and Utility Upgrades Project at the VA West Haven Campus

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to require a brand name, Intellikey key lock hardware, for the Chilled Water Plant Replacement and Utility Upgrades Project at the VA West Haven Campus. This project aims to provide a consistent access security system throughout the VA West Haven Medical Center. The Intellikey electronic locks are required to comply and integrate with the current system used throughout the medical center. The use of a single lock core enables the systematic management of the lock system by the Facility Engineering staff, allowing for a single keying tracking mechanism, an emergency response master key, and reduced maintenance costs. • The project includes new doors and their associated locking hardware. • The Intellikey electronic locks are required to be utilized on all VA West Haven Medical Center facilities. • The use of a single lock core enables the systematic management of the lock system. • The project aims to provide a consistent access security system throughout the VA West Haven Medical Center.
