Bus Shelter Installation

The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) is seeking a contractor to provide bus stop shelter installation services across its service area, including Hamilton County and portions of Warren, Butler, and Clermont counties. The contractor will be responsible for procuring, storing, permitting, and installing shelters and associated concrete pads in full compliance with local, state, and federal ADA requirements. The scope of work includes the installation of 51 bus shelters, with the possibility of additional locations. The contractor must provide professional services, including project management, engineering, design, and permitting. The evaluation criteria include price, project approach, and firm and staffing qualifications. • The contractor must have experience in providing similar services, particularly in the transit industry. • The contractor must demonstrate a clear understanding of the project requirements and provide a logical, step-by-step approach for completing all tasks. • The contractor must provide a detailed plan for installing shelters, including site preparation and safety measures. • The contractor must ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including ADA and local standards. • The contractor must provide a realistic timeline with key deliverables and contingency planning. • The contractor must have a secure and efficient storage plan for shelters prior to installation. • The contractor must have a strategy for obtaining all necessary permits and coordinating with local authorities.
