The City of Salina is seeking qualified contractors to paint structural steel components of the North Ohio Street Bridge, a 531‑ft overpass crossing two railroads. The scope includes surface preparation and painting of the bridge’s roadway fence, pedestrian fence with integrated lights, concrete barrier, selected street‑light poles, and the railroad rail on the concrete barrier. Bidders must be pre‑qualified through KDOT for Work Type Q – Painting Structural Steel and must submit sealed proposals by the deadline. Three complete sets of plans and specifications will be provided to the awardee. • Required KDOT pre‑qualification (Work Type Q – Painting Structural Steel). • Painting of bridge steel elements, fences, barriers, and select light poles. • Sealed bid process with a deadline of 2 p.m. CT on September 17, 2026.
