Screening Obscuration Module (SOM) Production

The US Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground is seeking information on industry's capability to provide Screening Obscuration Modules (SOMs) via a Government-Furnished Technical Data Package. The SOM is a miniaturized obscuration generating system that produces a visible obscurant cloud, degrading the visual to near infrared portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. Interested firms are invited to provide information on their company's expertise in providing obscuration equipment, as well as their business size and point of contact. Some key points to consider include: • The potential period of performance is 24-48 months. • A DD Form 254 Contract Security Classification Specification shall apply to this effort. • The Government-Furnished Technical Data Package is available upon request. • Responses should be no longer than five pages and transmitted electronically. • The Government will not reimburse contractors or responders for any costs incurred in responding.
