Description
The City of Montpelier is requesting proposals to perform work on the Flood Elevation 201 State Street project. The scope of work includes jacking existing building and lowering onto new foundation, demolition and disposal of existing foundation, excavation for new foundation, installation of new footings, concrete walls, piers, and steel beams, foundation coating and insulation, backfill, grading, and site work, and installation of new basement slab. The project also requires coordination with carpentry, plumbing, heating, and electrical contractors. The basis for payment is per lump sum, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive reasonable bidder.
• The project requires a site visit prior to bid opening.
• The contractor must provide certificates of insurance before commencement of work.
• The contractor must execute the agreement within 10 calendar days of receipt of the notice of award.
• The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities in the bidding process.
