Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting a market survey for the Boiler Plant Replacement Construction Project at the West Haven VA Medical Center in West Haven, CT. The project includes the construction of a new boiler building and internal renovations to the existing Building #19. The project will be a competitive, firm-fixed-price contract utilizing the design-bid-build approach. The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $50,000,000 and $100,000,000. The project duration is estimated to be 720 calendar days from the issuance of a Notice to Proceed.
Key aspects of the project include:
• Construction of a new boiler building
• Internal renovations to the existing Building #19
• Site work, including removing 6-8 feet of grade on the north side of the proposed building and reconstructing site vehicle access
