Description

The City of Seattle is seeking qualified vendors to provide design, fabrication, printing, and installation of a broad range of display signage on an “as‑needed” basis for multiple city departments. The contract will replace two expiring signage contracts and will be a one‑year pool agreement with the option to extend up to six additional one‑year terms. Vendors must demonstrate at least three years of experience in sign design/fabrication, comply with ADA, prevailing‑wage, and environmental requirements, and maintain an order‑desk for rapid response (5‑10 business days, with 2‑3‑day rush). The scope includes specialty graphics, labels, decals, banners, lawn signs, name plates, wayfinding signs, and related installation and maintenance services. No construction‑type work is allowed. The award will be based on lowest responsive bid; the City may issue multiple or partial awards and will consider prompt‑payment discounts. • Provide graphic design, screen‑printing, vinyl, metal, wood, PVC, and banner production. • Deliver and install signs within 5‑10 business days (2‑3‑day rush available). • Offer maintenance, cleaning, repair, or replacement services (same response times). • Contract term: 1 year with up to six optional 1‑year extensions; trial period 90 days. • Annual historical spend ≈ $70 k (range $49 k‑$121 k). • Mandatory qualifications: ≥3 years sign design/fabrication experience, compliance with ADA, prevailing‑wage, and Seattle business‑license requirements. • Pre‑bid conference (non‑mandatory) on Sep 10, 2026; questions due Oct 8, 2026; bids due Oct 15, 2026.

Budget estimate

$60,000 – $120,000

Based on the historical annual usage figures provided ($49,283.85‑$120,619.94) and the fact that the contract is a one‑year pool with up to six extensions, a realistic revenue range for the first year is roughly $60,000 to $120,000. The lower bound assumes modest order volume and competitive pricing; the upper bound reflects full utilization of the historical peak spend. Extensions could double or triple total earnings over the life of the agreement, especially if the vendor secures the majority of the “as‑needed” orders.
