Smallwood and Westwood Wells Chlorinator Replacement (UN-1307)

The Charles County Government is seeking a qualified contractor to upgrade the existing tablet chlorinators to a new Liquid Sodium Hypochlorite storage and feed system at two well sites in Charles County, MD. The project includes the installation of a 10’x12’ precast building, a 500-gallon double-walled HDPE Sodium Hypochlorite Tank, and two 250-gallon double-walled HDPE Sodium Hypochlorite Tanks. The contractor will also be responsible for the installation of sodium hypochlorite piping, valves, and instruments, as well as the demolition of the existing tablet chlorinator system. • The project requires the contractor to have experience in the installation of chemical feed systems, instrumentation, and controls. • The contractor must also have experience in civil site restoration and commissioning of chemical feed equipment. • The project has a mandatory subcontractor goal of 30.9% for Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises. • The contractor will be required to provide proof of insurance and to comply with the County's prevailing wage requirements.
