Description
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) Office of Air Operations is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive helicopter maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for its fleet of Airbus AS‑350 B3/B3e helicopters (up to 12 aircraft). The contract will be performed at three CHP air units in Fullerton, Thermal, and Apple Valley, and may also involve work at the contractor’s own facilities when approved. The award will be a three‑year base period with two optional one‑year extensions, subject to funding and performance. The contractor must hold an FAA Part 145 repair station certificate, supply a minimum of four FAA‑certified A&P mechanics with turbine‑helicopter experience, and meet extensive safety, insurance, and security requirements.
• Provide on‑site base mechanics (≥4) at each CHP air unit, with 24‑hour call‑out capability.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, part replacements, avionics and mission‑equipment repairs, and maintain detailed logbooks and parts control.
• Submit monthly invoices, adhere to parts markup limits (≤10 %), and comply with all CHP safety, security, and reporting mandates.
