Industry Day: Food Service, Senate Office Buildings (SOB)

The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is hosting an Industry Day for food service operations at the Senate Office Buildings. The event aims to ensure synergy between the AOC and industry representatives, communicate current developing AOC Senate restaurant requirements, gain a better understanding of recent industry developments, incorporate industry feedback into developing requirements, and provide updates on future AOC requirements. The AOC is considering grouping food service units under stand-alone contracts and is seeking input from experienced vendors who can provide various types of food services, including fine dining, cafeterias, catering, and vending services. • The AOC manages food services on behalf of the United States Senate. • The food services provide Members of Congress, their staff, supporting agencies, and visitors with a convenient solution and facilitate legislative and representational work of Congress. • The AOC is responsible for the maintenance, operation, development, and preservation of 18.4 million square feet of buildings and more than 570 acres of land throughout Capitol Hill. • The event will include a virtual industry day and an in-person tour day, with a high-level agenda that includes welcome, introductions, background and overview of scope, contract elements, walk-through of facilities, and wrap-up.
