Death Penalty Consultant Services

The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Department of Public Advocacy, is seeking a consultant to provide death penalty consulting services. The consultant will be responsible for reviewing and updating the DPA Death Penalty Manual, leading case reviews and consultations with criminal defense death penalty teams, and assisting with DPA training. The consultant must have a minimum of 15 years of experience representing defendants in death penalty cases, training public defenders in death penalty cases, and facilitating capital case reviews with capital defense teams. The contract is expected to be for a period of 24 months, with the possibility of renewal for up to two additional two-year periods. • The consultant will be required to review and update the DPA Death Penalty Manual. • The consultant will lead case reviews and consultations with criminal defense death penalty teams. • The consultant will assist with DPA training. • The consultant must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the required areas. • The contract is for a period of 24 months, with the possibility of renewal.
