Notice of Intent to Sole Source Contract for Ship Repair Services

The South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism (SCPRT) is providing public notice of their procurement of services from Dow Woodworks for ship repair. Dow Woodworks is the only local shipwright with experience in repairing square sail rigged ships and has a shop with specific tools for square rigged ships that are needed for repairs at the shipyard. The vendor is local and available during Haul Out and also available daily to help with all repairs needed and will not require lodging. • The contract amount is $28,800.00. • The procurement is a sole source contract per S.C. Code Ann. §11-35-1560. • Any actual or prospective bidder, offeror, contractor, or subcontractor aggrieved in connection with the intended award or award of this sole source contract may protest to the chief procurement officer.
