The City of Salina is seeking a contractor to complete the construction of a new scale house and associated entrance improvements at its municipal solid‑waste landfill facility. The scope adds a metal catwalk on both sides of the inbound and outbound scales, specifies clearances, updates door‑lock equipment, defines generator enclosure and ATS requirements, and provides a 38,000‑cubic‑yard borrow‑soil area for grading. Overhead‑power relocation is excluded, as the City will contract directly with the utility.
• Construct a 4‑ft‑wide metal catwalk with stairs, supports, and delegated‑design shop drawings.
• Provide earthwork using 38,000 cy of borrow soil and complete final grading per IFC drawings.
• Install a weather‑rated generator enclosure, service‑rated ATS, and commercial‑grade battery‑controlled locks; no bypass or remote‑E‑Stop required.
• Maintain a minimum 2‑ft clearance beneath the scales and incorporate revised floor elevations and ramp locations.
