Appliance and Mattress Recycling

The City of Golden is seeking proposals for an appliance and mattress recycling program. The program aims to provide a convenient and accessible option for residents to dispose of large household items, reduce vehicle miles traveled, and ensure that collected materials are recycled or reused. The selected contractor will be responsible for curbside collection, transportation, and delivery of collected materials to approved facilities. The contractor will also be required to coordinate with the City to adjust service capacity as program demand evolves. • The program will serve residential properties within the City of Golden limits, including single-family homes, townhomes, duplexes, and multi-family properties. • The contractor will collect and transport appliances, mattresses, and box springs to designated recycling facilities. • The City will manage customer scheduling and provide the contractor with a weekly service list. • The contractor will be responsible for completing all scheduled pickups and providing photo documentation for missed pickups. • The City intends to expand the program over time to include additional property types and service areas.
