Description
The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide a card system that will integrate with existing Student Information Systems and other software/hardware used for various functions or provide a reasonable replacement. The proposed solution should include features such as unlimited number of users, easy-to-use application, timely and informed data-driven decisions, accessible basic system training, user manuals, and help features. The solution must also provide cross-platform functionality, secure and scalable applications, central management dashboards, and self-service options. Some key requirements include:
• Identification
• Access control
• Point-of-Sale and similar terminals
• Meal and Declining Balance authorization
• Attendance and Activity tracking
• Provides a simple, expedient process for ID card production
• Provides audit trails for all transactions
• Includes a user-friendly means for reporting
• Offers a management console that allows permissions to be segmented by user, or user group, to allow for distribution of responsibilities based on need
• Seamless integration with current Identity Management System (IDMS)
• Standard static reporting with report customization and delivery
• Dynamic reporting with report customization and delivery
• Supports single sign-on
• Ability to configure system functions
• Smart Card and Mobile credential (iOS and Android) issuance and usage
• Provides web and mobile device access for user account management is desired but not mandatory
• Provide a solution to support student elections is desired but not mandatory
