This solicitation seeks a qualified contractor to demolish existing storefront doors at the Harry Britt Building and install new FRP storefront doors, fire‑rated frames, associated hardware, and low‑voltage networking. The work includes removal and EPA‑compliant disposal of existing doors, supply and field‑verification of new single‑ and double‑leaf doors, installation of electric continuous hinges and grade‑1 continuous hinges, replacement of automatic‑door push‑buttons with blank wall plates, and pulling approximately 250 ft of CAT‑6 cable to two door locations. All work must be performed during normal business hours and adhere to Cal‑OSHA safety, prevailing‑wage, and environmental requirements. An owner‑controlled allowance of $40,000 is to be included in the base bid, with an optional alternate for seven automatic operator doors.
