The Ohio Department of Health is seeking proposals from certified health information exchanges to provide non-fatal overdose data from hospitals. The project's goal is to receive non-fatal overdose individual encounters from emergency departments through automatic data feeds transmitted to the Ohio Department of Health. The selected contractor will be required to collect, curate, and transmit the required data fields for non-fatal drug overdoses on behalf of emergency departments. The key responsibilities include establishing a file-sharing connection, transmitting cases on a daily basis, and submitting a monthly transmission of cases. • The contractor must be a certified health information exchange for the state of Ohio. • The contractor must have existing data-sharing connections and agreements with emergency departments in the state of Ohio. • The contractor must be able to receive non-fatal drug overdose individual encounters from hospital emergency departments. • The contractor must have the technical ability to collect, curate, and transmit the required data fields for non-fatal drug overdoses on behalf of emergency departments.
