3D Printer for Newport News Waterworks Department

The City of Newport News is seeking bids from qualified firms to procure a large-format industrial 3D printer for use by the City of Newport News Waterworks Department. The equipment will support in-house fabrication, prototyping, and production of custom components, tools, fixtures, and replacement parts used in water utility operations and maintenance. The printer must be new, unused, and in current production, and must meet specific technical specifications, including a minimum build volume of 1,800 mm x 600 mm x 660 mm, a precision linear rail motion system, and a multi-zone heated print bed. The printer must also be capable of printing with multiple filament materials, including PLA, PETG, and ABS. • The printer must be delivered fully assembled or as a manufacturer-designed self-assembly kit. • The vendor must provide all documentation, manuals, and setup instructions. • The printer must include a minimum one-year manufacturer warranty. • Manufacturer or authorized technical support must be available during normal business hours. • Optional extended warranty and training services may be quoted separately.
