Banners and Flags

The City of Norfolk is seeking a responsible vendor to provide banners and flags on an as-needed basis. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, equipment, and materials to manufacture and deliver banners and flags in compliance with the specifications provided. The contract term will be for five years, with the option for price adjustments based on changes in the Consumer Price Index. The city reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time, with or without cause. Key responsibilities of the contractor include: * Providing banners and flags that meet the specifications outlined in the solicitation * Delivering products to the city in a timely manner * Maintaining insurance coverage as required by the city * Complying with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations * Providing a statement of protection for all proprietary information, if any * Completing all vendor submission requirements * Providing pricing information as required Some of the key specifications for the banners and flags include: * Fabrication by acid dye method * High tenacity 200 denier nylon * 3.5 ounces and printed sleeve wrapped around and reinforced * Webbing and grommets for extra strength * Double needle lock stitch sewing on all edges * Double-fold fly end for added strength * Fixed banners must have reinforced printed sleeve pockets top and bottom with corner grommets * The printing process shall use dyes for full color textile penetration The city encourages small businesses, women-owned businesses, minority-owned businesses, and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses to compete for this contract.
