Description
The Department of Financial Services (DFS) intends to purchase security monitoring and maintenance services for its proprietary security systems installed in DFS-occupied buildings in Tallahassee. The services include supplies and equipment required for the operation of the security systems. The DFS is seeking a single-source provider, and Sonitrol of Tallahassee Inc. is the intended provider. The contract term is from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.
• The services are mission critical for DFS and necessary to ensure the integrity of the existing security systems.
• The existing equipment is proprietary to Sonitrol and can only be monitored and serviced by Sonitrol and its trained and authorized technicians.
• The failure to acquire these services would create an unacceptable risk regarding state employees, state property, and the citizens of Florida.
