Description
The City of Lewiston, Maine is seeking bids for the Wilson/Hamel/Demi Circle/Bellegarde Ave. & Circle Water Main Replacement & Road Rehab project. The project involves the replacement of existing water mains, installation of new domestic water services, and road rehabilitation. The work includes the installation of 2,020 LF of 6" DI water main, 900 LF of domestic water services, and 3 hydrants, as well as the replacement of existing sewer mains and the installation of new sewer manholes. The project also includes the removal and replacement of existing curb, sidewalk, and driveway, and the installation of detectable warning fields.
• The project requires the contractor to provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to complete the work.
• The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards, including those related to environmental protection and worker safety.
• The project includes a pre-bid meeting, which is mandatory for all bidders.
• The contractor must provide a bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the total bid price.
• The contractor must also provide a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond in an amount equal to the total contract price.
