The successful supplier will be responsible for designing, engineering, installing, and maintaining solar installations. The project includes planning, engineering, labor, materials, delivery, installation, and commissioning, as well as all warranties and maintenance. The supplier must demonstrate knowledge of standard interconnection processes and utility transformer upgrades. The contract term is expected to be from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, with a preference for completing a majority of the work by December 31, 2026. Some key points to consider: • The supplier must have access to a full inventory of the proposed product line(s). • The supplier must provide participating municipalities with an efficient response to questions, issues, and concerns. • All equipment, supplies, parts, and related accessories must be new and actively marketed products by the manufacturer’s authorized dealers. • The supplier must notify LCSC and participating municipalities of any product recalls. • The supplier is responsible for designing, procuring, and installing the solar photovoltaic systems on municipal buildings. • The system must have a capacity that does not exceed the lesser of 40 kWac or 120 percent of the estimated annual electricity consumption of the building at which the system is installed.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $5,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate without more specific information about the scope of the project. However, based on the requirements for designing, engineering, installing, and maintaining solar installations on multiple municipal properties, it is likely that the budget will be substantial. A rough estimate could be in the range of $500,000 to $5 million, depending on the number of properties, the size of the solar installations, and the complexity of the project. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the cost of materials, labor, and equipment, as well as any incentives or rebates available for renewable energy projects.
