Description
The City of Tacoma is soliciting bids to establish one or more contracts with qualified vendors to fulfill the City’s needs to perform ecological services for various critical areas and City-owned properties. The contract will be for a two-year period with the option to renew the contract for three additional one-year terms. The total contract value is $500,000, plus applicable taxes. The work will be on an “as needed” basis and may not be continuous, with the potential for several months to pass before work is required.
• The contractor shall have the technical knowledge required to distinguish between Pacific Northwest native plant species, common ornamental plants, and unwanted plant species.
• The contractor shall hold and maintain a current Washington Department of Agriculture pesticide license with Aquatic Endorsement if applying herbicides to water/wetland areas.
• The contractor shall acquire necessary permits to complete projects.
