Description
The City of Greenville is seeking proposals from licensed house relocation contractors to provide professional services for the relocation of up to 5 residential structures on designated City-owned lots in West Greenville. The selected contractor will enter into a Professional Services Contract with the City for a period of one year. The scope of work includes pre-move preparation, transportation and relocation, foundation and placement, and project completion reporting. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to negotiate with the most qualified proposer.
• The City is committed to increasing access to safe, decent, and affordable housing while fostering neighborhood revitalization in West Greenville.
• The success of the initiative depends on the construction of quality homes and guidance from professional house movers with professional knowledge of house relocation.
• The contractor selected through this RFP will play an integral role in advancing the City's housing strategy.
• The City has adopted a Local Preference Policy and a Professional and other Services Policy that may pertain to this project.
• The City reserves the right to cancel this RFP with or without the substitution of another RFP.
