Industry Day Aircraft Arresting System (AAS) and Re-Striping Homestead, ARB

The US Army Corps of Engineers is hosting an Industry Day event to discuss the upcoming construction project for the Homestead Air Reserve Base in Florida. The project involves replacing deteriorated BAK-12 shelters with new, frangible shelters, and installing new aircraft arresting systems. The event is open to large, small, and socio-economic businesses registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) for the NAICS field 236220. • The project includes replacing BAK-12 and fairlead beam foundations, tape tubes, and emergency generators. • New BAK-14M cable retraction systems will be installed at the BAK-12 locations. • Foundations with anchors for the MB100.10.C bidirectional textile brake and hook cable arresting systems will be installed at the overruns. • The project requires all design, construction, and AAS installation work to conform to the requirements of AFI32-1043 and applicable Technical Orders.
